We Like To Help and Support Our Community

When we were asked to support a local charity fund raising event we had no hesitation in offering our support.

As lovers of football and having first hand experience of the need to understand the mental health issues affecting men , we were delighted to be offerred the main shirt sponsorship for one of the teams.

The day was a stunning success, smashing the £2000 target but most of all it bought hundreds of people together for a great afternoon at Ilkeston Town FC.

Suicide is the single biggest cause of death for men aged 20-45 so any chance to raise the awareness of the fantastic charity blOKes is a must.

Thank you  Amy, Adam and Conor for inviting us to be involved.

WHAT IS BLOKES?

https://blokes.life/about/

Founded in June 2020, blOKes is a registered community interest company (CIC) that provides men (18+) with a safe, supportive and non-judgemental platform to open up about their mental health, connect with others and tell a #MaleTale.

While conversations surrounding mental health are becoming more commonplace among men, we understand and appreciate that it can be difficult to vocalise thoughts and feelings sometimes. Via the blOKes forum, we aim to offer men the chance to share experiences, stories, guidance, tips, and advice with likeminded individuals, as well as connecting men from across the world.

Alongside our clinical mental health partner Willow Grove Consulting, we facilitate and deliver talks, events, webinars, and workshops, as well as providing men’s mental health information, resources, and supporting materials to schools, colleges, universities, sports clubs, organisations, and businesses across the UK.

Letter from Amy Adam and Conor

We would like to send out a message of thanks for your support with our charity Football Game this year.

I am so happy to update you that we managed to surpass our target amount of £2,000 and we are absolutely thrilled to announce that we raised £2,724 for blOKes Mens Mental Health Organisation.

All the success we have achieved this year could not have been possible without your generous sponsorships, raffle prizes, donations and social media advertising for the game.

We are truly thankful for all the love and support we have achieved that has helped us to make the day what it was and make such a difference.

On behalf of all the organisers and players involved we can not put into words how much we appreciate your generosity.

Thank you so much! We couldn't have done it without you!

Amy, Adam, Conor and all the teams

On behalf of the Adam and Conor Charity Match.
